Terms and Conditions

  • The Competition is organised by The Jewellery Channel (TJC) Limited and Miss Great Britain Office.
  • The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over excluding employees or agents of TJC/Miss Great Britain Office, its respective group of companies or subsidiaries of their immediate families or households.
  • No Purchase is Necessary to Enter.
  • To enter, an entrant must send his/her original Crown Design. The design can feature precious and semi precious gemstones/Metals. Entrants can submit either hand drawn designs or digitised computer aided designs.
  • Each design should be embedded with the British “Union-Jack” Flag.

  • Each entrant must include with the design(s) submitted
    • Full Name, Address and Telephone Number
    • A short Biography and a Photograph of himself/herself
    • A short explanation about the inspiration for his/her Crown design
    • A copy of this terms and conditions (signed and dated)
  • Entrants may submit as many separate crown designs as possible.
  • The closing date for the Competition and the submission of designs for the Design-A-Crown competition is Tuesday August 17th 2010.
  • Following the closing date, A panel of experts from Miss Great Britain Office will review all entries and give the winning design to The Jewellery Channel for Manufacturing. The decision of Panel of experts in selecting the winning design will be final. In addition, The Jewellery Channel reserves the right to modify the final design/metal/gemstones for final production.
  • The Ultimate Prize Winner will be announced on or before 6th September 2010.
  • PRIZE
    • An Iliana (18K) ring: Retail valued at £1000 from The Jewellery Channel
    • Tickets for Two (2) to the Miss Great Britain Finals in London.
    • Invitation to assist in Crowning Miss Great Britain 2010.
  • Ownership of Designs: Each competition entrant confirms that each of the design(s) submitted is his/her original work and it’s not copied from any other design or manufactured product. Each entrant warrants that his/her design(s) will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party.
  • Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that the copyright, design rights and any other intellectual property rights in all the designs he/she submits and/or in any items manufactured from such designs will belong to TJC and could be used in the future. Signing this form transfers all such intellectual property rights to TJC.
  • Each entrant agrees that TJC or Miss Great Britain 2010 organizers can feature and display his/her designs, photography and biography details(collectively, the Materials) on the TJC/Miss Great Britain Broadcast channel, website and any other media. Each entrant further agrees to use his/her name and likeness in all such publicity.
  • TJC/Miss Great Britain Office will not return any designs to any entrant to the Design-A-Crown Competition.

Other Conditions

  • TJC/Miss Great Britain Office accepts no responsibility or liability for any lost, damaged or incomplete entries and all such entries will be deemed invalid. Proof of entry shall not be proof of delivery or receipt. Only entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions will be acceptable.
  • TJC/Miss Great Britain Office reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage before the closing date deemed necessary in its reasonable opinion, or if circumstances arise out of control which have an impact on the holding of the competition.
  • By entering the competition, each entrant agrees that TJC/Miss Great Britain Office may use the information provided: to contact you (by phone, email or post) with information on TJC’s products and services which may be of interest to you.
  • The terms of this competition are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • By entering this competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
