Sarah-Lou is proud to have been part of The Jewellery Channel team since day one and hopes that all the gemstone knowledge she has gained over this time has helped many viewers choose their perfect piece of jewellery! She has also realised that you can never get bored of dressing up in gorgeous diamonds! Sarah-Lou also spent some time living in Austin Texas, where she was a popular presenter on TJC USA. Before starting her presenting career, Sarah-Lou worked successfully as a dancer traveling the world on a luxury cruise liner, testing her Bollywood skills in India and performing in musicals including 'The Blues Brothers' and 'The Rat Pack'. Sarah-Lou still enjoys dancing today when she is not on your TV screens, along with keeping fit, live music, shopping and cocktails!
What did you do before joining TJC?
I worked as a professional dancer travelling the world on a cruise ship, Bollywood dancing in India and performing in Musicals including 'The Blues Brothers' and 'The Rat Pack'.
What makes you enjoy working at TJC?
Getting to dress up in so many gorgeous diamonds and gemstones, receiving texts and emails from the viewers and having fun with a great team in the gallery.
What is your favourite gemstone and why?
Pink sapphires because I love the hot pink colour and the fact they are very durable. Kunzite is also a favourite of mine as it's so glamorous and looks great in large cocktail rings.
Describe your personal style?
Quite casual but funky, I love fun, quirky pieces too.
What is your favourite colour and why?
Pink! When I was younger I was a real tomboy, so I think I am making up for it and being girly now!
Name your favourite restaurant and why?
There's a restaurant practically next door to my flat called 'Genzo' Does a mixture of delicious greek and other dishes. I love it because we go there so often they know us in there- so we get a high five when we go in, the best table everytime and a free round of after dinner drinks!
If you were to travel around the world in 80 Days, which city will you begin from and why?
Las Vegas Baby! One of my favourite places in the world...but there would be a danger of not getting anywhere else, as I'd probably loose my 80 days worth of money in one weekend!
What is your worst ever fashion malfunction?
Oooh, there are loads! I remember my cerise pink shell suit....my purple suede trainers...my cycle shorts with a net skirt over the top that I used to wear with one pink sock and one black sock- the list is endless!
Who is your favourite celebrity and why?
Jane Krakowski. She's super talented, beautiful and funny...damn her!!!
What is your best TV show and why?
Don't find much time to watch TV, but was a massive Sex And The City fan, and have seen every single episode - and even did the location tour in New York!
In exactly two words how would your best friend describe you?
Shopper-holic!
If you were to be the Prime Minister for Three (3) Hours, what would you do and why?
Make helping poverty stricken countries top of the list....oh and make Cadburys Cream Eggs free ;-)
Can you reveal a secret about a fellow TJC presenter?
Ian Gardner has an orange leather sofa in his lounge- it's fab!
